    Conductive thread for touchscreens

I did a quick search and didn't see anything, but does anyone have experience with this stuff? Any better options to allow me to use my phone/GPS with gloves on?

no experience with the thread, I've got a few pair of winter gloves with it built in, but there are a bunch of guys on the other forum that just sewed an X with the thread into their riding glove fingers.

planning on taking Friday off to ride, shoot me a PM if your interested

    Wirelessly posted (GS3)

Whitehorse gear sells some stuff called any glove I believe. You put a few drops on the tip of the finger of your glove so you can operate touch screens. I think its like $20

My Rev'It Jerez gloves work on my phone. There's no silver thread or anything on them.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.

    Re: Conductive thread for touchscreens

I've done it on a pair of m/c gloves and a pair of regular winter gloves; I've also bought a pair of winter gloves supposedly with it woven into the fabric, and a pair with the silver fingertips. Thread on m/c gloves worked ok, as did the silver fingertips. Basically the thread has to be touching your finger and the screen (which was not a logical conclusion I made at first with thread that "conducts" something, doh!).

    Re: Conductive thread for touchscreens

Thanks for all the replies, and I can definitively say that I cannot use my touch screen with my Helds.

After posting this thread I did a search on ADVrider and there were some varied opinions, at this point I think I'm teetering between the liquid stuff that Ox linked and the little finger condoms that Linus linked...

I used 'AnyGlove' all summer on two different sets of gloves (1 light summer; the other full gauntlet racing). Its worked all riding season without having to reapply.

My Held gloves work great on the touch screen of my Garmin Zumo 550.

    Just sayin'...
