Store with good gear selection in Mass?

I'm overdue for some new gear since the stuff I have right now is approaching 6 years old. The one article of clothing I'm a little hesitant about buying is the jacket. I've never worn the brand before (Icon) so I have no idea how it fits. I'd like to try it on at a local store first to figure out what size fits me right verses buying online and sending jackets back and forth half a dozen times to figure out the right size.

6 years ago the place to go to try on gear was Brockton Cycle center but they are gone. What places these days have a decent selection? If it helps I'm specifically looking at this jacket: http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=8229

If you can get to Conway, NH, Whitehorse Gear is an awesome place to try everything on, but I don't think they carry Icon

It doesn't have to be Icon, the jacket happened to catch my eye when shopping online. I'm open to all brands. Basically just looking for a place to go to that has a wide range of gear available to try on. Whitehorse is a bit of a hike for me to just look at gear, thanks for the offer though.

Completely forgot about GBM. I went in there back in Nov since a buddy of mine wanted to look at the CB1000. I don't remember seeing any apparel there though. Was it on a different floor? We were just in the bike section in both buildings.

Gbm's parts dept. is on the second floor. My good friend Billy works there. He has been selling motorcycle gear forever and would steer you in the right direction. Motomarket is also a good choice.

I hate the place, but try Riverside in Slumerville, or if you're looking for top shelf gear, ride up to Seacoast in Derry. Pat is great to work with. She knows her stuff and is very patient with questions and fitting 1,000,000 jackets on until you find the one you like.

Whitehorse gear is a nice destination, nice roads all around. You could buy from them and have them ship to your home and will have it in 1 day. I have bought alot of gear from GBM and they have always given me a good price and good service. Just my .02.

Billy, what is your price range and what size are you? I just bought a Dainese leather size 56 euro and couldn't be happier with my purchase. You are welcome to come try it on to get a basic idea of what size you need. I also have another leather jacket sized 48 US that you can try on as well.

Their main line now seems to be First Gear, which is a very value-oriented product line (most textile jackets $300 or less) with perhaps the widest range of sizes available - they have Short and Tall sizes, as well as women's. They makes pants up to 48 waist, while most stop at 42 or 44. Pretty good stuff.

I bought my first Olympia jacket at Dunbar Eurosport in Brockton but they aren't listed in the Olympia dealer locator anymore. Well-designed gear on the practical/dorky side.

    Dip,

I'm not sure what #size I am because the current coat that I wear uses the S, M, L, XL, etc size ratings and it's what I've been using for the past 6 years. I'd probably would have to try on coats that use the #system to figure out what size I am. I'm planning on going to GMD today since it's 15 mins from my work.

I bought some econo-gear on line, but have gotten rid of it all, now go to MotoMarket and Seacoast for quality and service, and to support decent local businesses, plus, as they say, "quality doesn't cost, it pays."

Smart Moto opened up last year in Seekonk. It is a smaller place, but the service is personal. Jason, the owner is originally from Razee I think. They have Sat morning donut & coffee meets and weekly group rides in the summer....really nice, knowledgeable people. I believe they carry Firstgear, Held, and KLIM. They are a few miles west of Adrenaline, near exit 1 (195) in Seekonk.
