1967 Honda CB160T. Bought in 1975 for under $200.00. I stripped it and rode it off road for a year before I got my license. I put all the street stuff back on it and it looked pretty sharp.
Dig this one I saw last year:

1972 Honda CL175 with 300 miles on it in showroom condition, given to me when I was 16 in 1992, I should be shot for the things I did to that bike.
I was 17 in 1975 and my dad bought me a AMF|Harley-Davidson 1000cc Sportster for my birthday. What a piece of shit it was, but it sounded bad-ass to a 17yo kid. 1976 I bought new Suzuki GT550 two stroke triple. Whoa Triple!! In 2011 I buy a new Triumph Speed Triple.![]()
2005 yzf600r for $5k in 2007
That's an '86 model in the picture bro the last year ask me how I know because I had one. I think they only made 67hp then came the big leap to the 600s in the late 80's starting to make near 100hp. It had funky carb design and a skinny rear tyre and no bottom end to speak of but it was a great little bike, I bought mine with 1,000 miles on it for like $1,500 from a military guy who was scared of it, best buy I EVER HAD!
Years later I had a VF500 Interceptor, which was also nice and very different, better around town city traffic but all out I think the Zook would pull it. In fact I remember it being the fastest middleweight in a quarter when Cycle or Cycle Guide ran the headline: 12.37....... which was really moving out back then for a 500-500 class machine, but of course it was really a 572. I remember all of this, LOL.
