Re: Street Bike to Rekindle the Flame
My multistrada has been the best bike I have ever had. Does everything well.

Agreed. 821 hyperstrada is so far the perfect multi use bike for me. So comfy, fast, sharp handling, practical, and sexy as hell.

If the Hyperstrada had software cruise control, I'd submit it for a 'perfect' rating. It's a dynamite bike for trips of many lengths and paces.

Stumbled upon this old thread - just curious what you ended up with and if it successfully rekindled it.

Call me superficial, but the XSR in anniversary paint turns heads and I kind of miss that. Combine that with some comfort and a great motor that loves to lift the front wheel, and it puts a big grin on my face whenever I take it out.
Also curious to see what OP ended up with.

^^ Wow great looking. Makes me think Kenny Roberts should be in the background.

Negotiations with my wife took a turn and I ended up with a Miata. I still think about this daily though. XSR900, Z900RS, ZRX, something along those lines.

Haha. Negotiatiations with my wife included a couple lawyers. Hers was really good. Miatas aren't a bad car.
I've got an RC8 for the street. I never really ride it. I think about getting a motard sometimes, as my rides are seldom longer that a half hour.

We wear very similar shoes in that regard. I had to settle on sport bike wearing dad jeans and New Balances. She has no idea the bike is actually a hoot to ride, is sold on the utilitarianism of it and it’s innocuous looks.
