Yeah, Unit Garage keeps coming up, have you ordered from them?

I will say, the accessory prices on triumphs website are very reasonable!

This is pretty cool, that the seat has those straps.

Haven’t looked for this bag yet and the comments say it’s hard to find, but I’ll try.

I’ve got that bag, it’s good. A generic waterproof duffle will do the trick just as well. The seat straps are nice. For every day riding I use them to strap a small bag with a tool roll in it to the back seat.

If I try your 1290SA, will I hate my DR650, my 919, and my Hypermotard all at once?

Because that’s a risk I’m willing to take; let me know which you want me to bring to the ride swap!

CAD'd/rapid prototyped these up to allow more air under the windscreen to reduce highway speed buffeting.

Going to try them out later today to see how they work. If it cures it, I'll print them in 100% infill black ABS.

Works mint up to 80mph. Much cleaner air, quieter, and buffeting greatly reduced.

    Time to print.

When the HELL, did the Versys, which always seemed like an afterthought and didn’t seem to sell well.., become over EIGHTEEN grand!!! You’re telling me is a couple grand shy in worth as a KTM super adventure? I’m sure the engine rips, but come on…

Whatever he did, the clutch doesn’t seem so extreme, and I’m finding N no problem!?

I saw it at the bike show and thought the same thing...Why would I get this over one of the Europeans or the less expensive Tracer GT. Or better yet, the GSX-S1000GT!

I was behind a Versys 1000 for a few miles the other day. I could not figure out what it was until we pulled up at a light together. Seems like a nice bike, but I could not imagine paying that much.

    Re: Street/commuter/ADV ride

That bike does have a lot of frills; electronic suspension, quick shifter, cornering lights, CC, heated grips, TFT. I can see why it's on the expensive side. But a ~$3000 difference between that and a Super Adventure...I'll take the 1290 any day.

To be fair, I believe when it comes to pricing, KTM really tries to undercut their competitors (BMW, Ducati, Triumph) by a large margin. All the 1290 competitors are in the ~$25k territory. But KTM doesn't invest in after sales support at all, and it shows (service is atrocious).
