Hit exactly 20,000 miles when I pulled into my shop this morning. Still loving this thing. Although I seriously need to stop being so cocky on it!

No complaints from me as of yet. The 114 didn't convince me I needed to upgrade, not even close. I'm dyin' to try the 117 though. My test ride on a Street Glide ST got rained out and I never made it back to reschedule.

Re: Street Glide Special First Impressions
The 107 is awesome. I of course wouldn’t kick a 114, 117 or whatever out of bed… but the 107 has definitely never made me want more.

I'd love to give the 117 a whirl. I hear it's quite the upgrade. I've mentioned it a few times around here, but I really didn't notice much difference between the 107 & the 114.

Re: Street Glide Special First Impressions
My friend just got scammed out of $700, trying to buy parts from @harleydavidsonn on Instagram…

Ouch! Are they using the two n's at the end of the name or was that a typo?
*edit* found and reported, looks like some others have as well.

Re: Street Glide Special First Impressions
Two Ns. I’ve also reported.

Probably as much a rabbit hole as the oil question....
What's the goods on ECU tuners? Some say Dynojet Power Vision (insert version here), some say Screaming Eagle. What's the choice of you clowns?

The Screaming Eagle race tuner used to be the tuner of choice. I had that with all the software and cables for my Ultra. Then HD got sued because they were modifying the Emissions. So the caved and re-issued the tuner as a Street Tuner and basically tamed what you could and could not change. A lot of guys I know run the Dynojet and have a good tuner with a Dyno install it and tune it. RJ's Motorsports does good work, Roger could hook you up, tell him I sent you. There are others as well.

Dynojet seems to be the favorite through my unscientific surveys. Besides much more functionality, I kinda dig the smart phone interface Dynojet offers with the PV4.

Barely 5000 miles this year with all that fookin' rain. Just about perfect time for the 3-hole servicing before it's nap...

Most common discussions on Harley pages and forums:

- What's the loudest exhaust out there for my bike?
- How do I drill out the baffles on my "xx" exhaust?
- Check out my undergloes!
- How big of a front tire can I convert to without having to swap my front end?
- For those that don't use helmets, how to you stay warm in colder weather?
- How much is my bike worth with all the "custom" work done to it?
- "xx" is the only thing I use in all "three holes".
- I'm only getting "xx" miles on my bargain basement tires.
- My stereo set-up is 1200 watts!
- Batwing fairings are dangerous.
- Helmets kill!
- All M8's have problems.
- What's the most comfortable sneaker to where while riding?
What else am I missing?

Hahaha! Yeah, I think those topics are more covered behind the scenes. I don't often see those topics publicly waved around.
Although I see a couple of those pop-up here on NESR once in a while!

Re: Street Glide Special First Impressions
I'm about to trade my 15 SG for a 22. I want something more than the current 103 provides. Has the 117 M8 as its a ST.
Has the slip on's already but I might tune it and get a ridiculously over priced air cleaner to go " stage one".
I hate most of the Harley demographic and don't look at there forums much. Lot of mouth breathers.

All true! But if you can sift through the retarded bullshit you can find info you may be looking for. It's there, you just gotta dig.

Re: Street Glide Special First Impressions
It feels odd admitting it publicly, but i bought a 2015 road glide last year, and have been loving it. I put ohlins on the back and legends performance drop ins in the front over the winter, it is now truly an entirely different motorcycle.

I've had the same feelings. Never in my 55+ years did I EVER think I'd praise a Harley. But I've been nothing but impressed in almost every aspect of my 2017 Street Glide Special. They upgraded to a real suspension that year on the Specials.

Agree 1000%. They've always been something for me to laugh at. Of course the vast majority of the HD community still exists for us all to laugh at. But yeah, the bike is shockingly good. I bought it as something to flip, and ended up loving it. Also, the Saddlemen SDC pro seat is fantastic, if you want a seat that gets you a bit more upright and helps avoid the 'slouch' position.

How's the passenger comfort on that seat? Been looking for a two up since the st comes with a solo seat.
