The Klock Werks Flare windscreen is the shit's shit. It's about 3" shorter than the Freedom screen I tried. Going by my unscientific ass-off-the-seat standard of measuring, due to the design of the Klock Werks, it displaces the air just over the top of my head. It just looks SO much better than the Freedom one too.

Still absolutely loving this thing. I've been doing a fair share of commuting on it. The comfort features on this rival that of my Silverado. Bluetooth connect, iHeart radio all day long. I've only played around with the nav., but it seems just about like any other I've used. I'm not a fan of using it on the bike though. Just too much going on and so many other things to monitor. And who the fuck cares if you get lost on the bike?

The used market is just as insane as new. Picked up a detachable luggage rack for less than half price. Picked up highway peg brackets for next to nothing and even found matching Streamliner pegs for those for a fraction of new. I have a set of saddlebag guards that're going on too as well as a set of Custom Dynamics LED front directionals/driving lights.

I haven't fidgeted with the EIMTS (Engine Idle Temperature Management System) yet. That basically shuts off a cylinder if you're sitting in traffic and the engine reaches a certain temp. Mine's currently off, whatever.

Next on the list will be converting the rear tri-bar taillight to a LED tail light/brake light combo. Not really happy with the fact that the only brake lights are integrated into the turn signals/running light combo. Not nearly enough brake lights for my taste. I may even get brake lights for the filler panels, we'll see. From there, front spotlights may be up. That may be after a higher flowing intake though.

I'm really getting used to throwing it into corners. If you've never ridden a newer touring model, you have no idea how well it handles. I'd NEVER believe it without riding one myself and I wouldn't expect anyone else to. Given what it is, it's size & weight, it blows me away how easy it is to push it a bit. Mind boggling.
Yep, nobody ever believes how nimble these things behave until they spend some time on them. And with the LED headlight and the LED 4" spots, it's like riding in daylight now. Absolutely fantastic.

What made you pick the Special over the standard Street? And I saw you mention the 107, I thought the Special was the 114? I'm far from a Harley knowledgeable person so maybe the answers are obvious to others.

The 2017's (mine) came with the 107. The only reason I went with the Special was because that was the best deal I found. I probably would have just gone with the Standard if I had found the right deal. But I found this for what most were asking for the Standards. And they took my Low Rider in trade sight unseen - that certainly didn't hurt.

But the Special gets the upgraded infotainment/nav, security, ABS linked brakes & gas rear shocks. A couple other little appearance things too.

I was going to pick up a SG/RG fender but honestly the chrome trim has grown on me now that I removed the crazy bumper hardware

My read is that there 10001 knock offs of those LED lamps, most created more or less equal. So just pick another well rated set that you think look good.
I've considered it. But the lamps on my RK aren't that bad. I kinda dig the retro-ish look of halogen bulbs.

Oh fuck yeah, they're a dime a dozen. Some suck, some don't. I have no problemo with the high beam halogen, but the low beam is useless.

I put the Custom Dynamics directional/running lights on it yesterday. Didn't get a chance to try 'em at night yet though. But man, when they're in running light mode they're a fuckofalot brighter than the OEM. I guess I gotta go through some rigmarole to get my in gauge indicator to psynch with the flashers though. The directionals all flash normally, but the dash indicator is fast. The instructions didn't mention the computer having to "learn" there's other lights in there. Turn bike on, turn hazards on, turn bike off for a few second, turn hazards off...or some shit. I'll figure it out tonight.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I was under the impression it was brand new for some reason.

So does the Standard have regular ABS or is it non ABS?

If I remember, only the 2017 Special came with the ABS linked brakes. That may be different for the new models though, I dunno.

Nah, I have no interest in that. I WOULD like to see where I'm going when using my low beam though.

My truck came from the factory like that though. It's incredibly annoying, even for me. I feel like shit when vehicles approach from the opposite direction at night. I'm constantly showing them that my high beams are NOT on.

The second best upgrade i've done was going to LED on the headlight and passing lamps, the first was the cam's More low end grunt. I have my Tour Pack on a quick disconnect and I have a streetglide seat to swap out with the Ultra Seat to make it more stream lined and less couch like. For me the comfort is the same, the passengers suffer a little, but I don't two up long distances and the only complaint I got was helmets bumping. I also got rid of the bumpers on the fenders and the leg wind screens on the highway bar. I have Saddlebag guides with LED fillers and under the foot boards LED strips . It lights up the bike well at night without looking like underglow douchebaggery. Mine is an '06 with 68K

I wonder when the people that regulate this type of thing are going to realize that automobile lighting is an overall larger system with many more facets then just the driver of the car with the overly bright lights?

Agreed though that low beam visibility is important

Okay. What are you all using for LED headlights. With the LED directional/running lights, I recently realized how stupid it looks with the OEM halogen headlight. I don't have the spotlights/passing lights, BTW. Just looking for the right headlight.

I just picked up a couple of those LED light switch looking thingies that I'll attach to the underside of my saddlebag lids.
