    Street pressures for Dunlop DOT's?

I'm wondering how much I want to bump up the pressures on my Dunlop GPA 211's for a street ride today.... track pressures end up being 21/31 cold and about 22 or 23/33 hot for these guys...

I have not experimented with pressures for street on these tires, I'm assuming I should run them a wee bit higher for better wear but also know these are notoriously slippery when cold and don't want to over inflate... Thoughts?

Not sure about Dunlops, bt every street tire I've used I've rn similar pressures. 34-38 rear and 30-32 front.

I always liked 30/30 for street tires.

I guess I should rephrase my question.... They are not street tires, so what would be an advisable street pressure for race DOT's?

I have always run race takeoff Dunlops on my street bikes. 30/30 was fine.

What are the factory recommended front/rear settings for your bike?

I never go by those...depends on the tire and the use

Re: Street pressures for Dunlop DOT's?

Already answered ya via text, but I'll answer here too so other people can see & maybe add their input... though I don't really think a long drawn out discussion is needed. Basically, just increase as desired. Higher PSI = less traction but longer tire life.

Hard street riding - I'd take my track hot numbers and just add 2-3 pounds. So if I ran 28 F&R on the track hot off the warmers I'd use about 30-32 F&R cold or so on the street.
Kinda spirited or cruising around - For every day street riding, I use roughly 33f/36r.
At least, that's what I found to work for Pirelli DOT take-offs. Dunno bout Dunlop but adding roughly the same to your hot pressures would probably net similar results.

As with any race tire, let them get a little heat into em before trying to have some fun. I've spun up the rear pulling outta my driveway on more than a few occasions.

Side note: the only reason why I even run race take-offs is because I'm a cheap prick and hardly even ride my street bike anymore anyway so there's no sense in me buying street tires if I can get take-offs for almost nothin.

Re: Street pressures for Dunlop DOT's?

I run my takepoffs lower than track pressures or at track pressures if I'm expecting grip. I'd also adjust depending on the temperature outside and whattype of riding I'm doing. Like everything with your bike you need to learn how they perform if you want to adjust for feel, you can't just ask people for the right numbers, it doesn't work that way.
