    Streetfighter V4

    Thoughts on this new model??

My bank card is twitching. I loved the original, and this one looks amazing...

No doubt that bike is gonna rip. I wasn't a fan of the first one - for a naked the bars we just as low as the sportbike it came from. Kind of missing the point IMO.

I have not seen a new one in person - not sure if it is the same as the first gen models. I have spent plenty of time riding V4 Tuonos, with 175hp on tap they don't suck. I can only imagine 200 +.

I rode one of the 1098 versions years ago on a cold Maine day. I blasted through a couple gears and saw the dash indicate 104,105,106....I legit thought it was displaying coolant temp and thought I should back off it until the temp came up a bit more. Found out pretty quick it was the speedo, I was stunned at how deceptively fast the bike was.

I don’t ride a lot of miles these days so I’m not overly concerned about comfort, but I am wondering just how small this new one is. Some of the pics with rider on board make the bike look super compact ergonomically. Otherwise I think it’s gorgeous and cant wait to try one.

I had an original 1098. It was cool. The new one is another dream bike I will probably never own.

    Re: Streetfighter V4

I have a 2010 SF and to be honest the thing that made me buy it wasn't the HP. I liked the fact it felt way lighter than anything else in its class. That said, even with a measly 150+ HP the front is often skimming the pavement. I'm just not sold on where I'd find room to wind out a 200+ HP streetbike, especially w/o a fairing you can get behind at higher speeds.

As for the pic, I'm not sure what wings I'm supposed to be looking at.

    My thought too

Looking at it sideways the wings are difficult to see.

    Can see them better here.

Bars still look pretty forward leaning to me. I'm not a fan of this bike. I do like the SuperdukeR though.

    Re: Streetfighter V4

I owned the 1098S SF and this bike, sadly, looks less mean. Now that I own a 2017 Tuono Factory, I can say that I won't go back to the Ducati anytime soon. I loved my Duc SF, but this Tuono is hands-down the most incredible bike I've ever owned...and it's a V4 1100. Those who know me are aware that I've had plenty of Ducatis and MVs, so the props to Aprilia are not without context.

Ugly as hell but still a bucket-list bike. When these eventually hit the used market I'll be really interested to see the odometer readings.
