SO I went all the way out to Chatham, NY (hereafter to be reffered to as the dingleberry of the universe, I'll post a couple pics later) to contest a 86-in-a-65-zone speeding ticket. The lady there, who's not the judge, told me she couldn't drop it to like a stopsign violation since it was over 20 mph. I'm like, ok, well, that would have been nice, but maybe too good to be true... whatever... so she offers me a reduction to 75 in a 65. I'm like, what will it cost? She says there's no way to tell, there's no formula like in MA (who'd have thought I'd be praising MA beaurocracy...) anyway, to make a long story slightly less long, the judge hit me up for $185 for 10 mph over the speed limit. $150+$35 surcharge. TEN FRIGGIN MPH! AND they wouldn't take a check from "all the way out there in Acton, MA" so I had to go next door to the atm, because they wanted me to pay right on the spot! MAN am I glad I don't live in that stupid ass state...
