Lame troll attempt; this already got covered elsewhere.

This topic is so lame I can no longer form words. Have fun policing your fellow motorists.

Spend some more time riding around the Lawrence or Lowell and you'll see that plenty.

Re: Stupid rider with a death wish
I don't quite understand the mentality that sheer recklessness, and more importantly blatant disregard for the safety of others, should be completely ignored.
At what point do you feel the need to intervene to prevent others, or even yourself, from potentially being injured? I'm honestly curious.

As a parent, at about the point you created a thread about it.

id keep calling the cops on this bitch
couple of younger folks moved in down the street from me. they have a bunch of shit box cars including an older BMW. they decided that my road was now a drag strip/test and tune site. i went to the end of the driveway one night with my arms out in the "really?" pose as they flew by at 80mph.
i called the cops
they did it some more.
i called again
again
i called
this turned into them creeping past my house and then revving the engine or JUST flying by my house
eventually it stopped
similar situation to that was a kid moved in up the street. he had a bike. his friends had bikes. they would ride by all the time. rolling burnouts, wheelies, and racing. i went down there and explained the whole "shit where you eat" thing and added a "tell your friends". stopped almost immediately.
Newicks is up the street from me so i get lots of NON local traffic. every once in a while i have to drive down to newicks and scare the shit out of someone for flying down my road. i chuckle when i see them go back by doing exactly the speed limit.

Re: Stupid rider with a death wish
Sounds like this feller was on one of those dangerous "assault" motorcycles. If it were in MA he'd have to get his dangerous swing arm pinned, remove that dangerous pistol grip throttle, and that 3 gallon fuel tank is way too dangerous. Should probably limit him to only 1 gallon, it'll be more safe for everyone.

Though not in good taste, assault bikes are fully legal in NH.

It's easily the greatest problem the Commonwealth faces. We do all we can to limit the dangerosity of these assault motorcycles, yet they're readily available just across the border in New Hampshire.
Shame on us all [emoji17]

Vote for Tollman. He'll make sure we all get smart motorcycles. That will solve this!

Tell her to her face that you're not impressed. Shit like that is easy to afford when you're not paying for tires and track-time. :hbang2:

Re: Stupid rider with a death wish
As to the original question posed: i wouldn't report him. Slippery slope trying to do cops' job for them...and occasionally i ride like an idiot and don't really want people calling on me so why tempt karma.
-
Re: Stupid rider with a death wish
I'll go out on a limb and say that alerting the policia to some fuckhead on the road isn't what I consider "doing the cops job for them" and I'm hoping what you label "riding like an idiot" doesn't equate to risking your life as well as the ones around you.
-
Re: Stupid rider with a death wish
Is it possible his aggressive riding is pissing you off (bad public relations) and causing you to give extra scrutiny to his riding?
Have a chat with him if you have the opportunity. But if it's a "I'm going to tell you how it is" speeches, he isn't going to care. Otherwise, if he keeps it up at this rate, eventually he'll get some attention from the local PD. His own life is seriously at risk, but I think it's a stretch to say his a significant threat to others.

Re: Stupid rider with a death wish
Just ahd a similar situation. A kid was riding a mini bike up and down the street, popping wheelies, riding the wrong way on a one-way, etc. I waved him down and told him there was a text alert system in the neighborhood and some little old lady had called the police on him. He said "Thanks" and parked it. If the police had showed he might have gotten jacked up, so now he's more respectful of the neighborhood.
