    Subaru's first bike.

    Subaru's first motorcycle: the HS500sa

It's rumored that this bike could be branded a Subaru. Powered by a Fuji Heavy Industries -- Subaru's parent company -- 500cc single-cylinder engine, it could also herald a new era of challenging-to-ride, low-capacity sportsbikes. While the styling is a bit generic for our tastes, the beefy, Chinese-made frame and swingarm are promising. The whole thing looks very production ready, so expect to see more of it, possibly in a Subaru dealership in Asia, very soon.

Hopefully it isn't as annoying to work on as their cars. Most normal maintenance I did on my WRX was a pain in the balls. Damn flat motors...

    What does "Challenging-to-ride" mean?
    That they suck?

I'd guess they're trying to distance it from the concept of a 500cc being a "learner" bike.

This thing looks really interesting, supposedly the guy who designed it was involved with Honda factory racebikes for several years. The frame looks like it could handle about 500 horsepower. Really curious how cheap it's gonna be.

If you look down, you go down. That may be fun at an orgy, but it sucks on a bike

You never know what they'll do next. Now that they're winning effin Nascar races, why not move to GP

I dont see GP in the near future. They are already dumping a ton of money to run near the rear of the pack in F1.

Chinese or not, it looks like it would be *much* better than a Buell B-Last.

Just some more about Subaru history.
In the early 80’s Roland a subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd.
Was in the thick of the pocket bike craze.
