I need a master cylinder, throttle control, bars, right frt peg, right pass peg, windscreen stay, tail section and tail light.....to be rideable

One question i do have is about getting the title rebuilt from salvage...anyone done this? The bike is straight per computrak and only needs the cosmetic stuff i listed...any tips on the best way for me get this done?

I have gone through this process. Is there any visible damage to the frame, such as scratches or dents? If so, I am not sure you would be able to rebuild and register using the frame. Unless perhaps they would accept a certificate verifying safety from GMD??? With regards to replaced parts, the staties want to see recipts for EVERYTHING. And if it is a part purchased used through ebay or something, they want a vin number for the bike it came off of to ensure it is not a stolen item. It was a pain in the balls.

I tried to get it registered with the dented tank and they said no. I had to replace just about every damaged part on the bike. And once I got a tank off ebay, they then told me they needed the vin number of the bike it came off of. Now maybe I just had a bitchy officer with a bad attitude giving me shit because I was only 20 at the time... but three trips to the inspection station later I finally did get it done.

A VIN for a fuel tank? That's pretty dumb.

At that point in time I woulda supplied the VIN from my own bike...but that's just me.

I have a set of OEM handle bars for an FZ1...if you think they'll fit your bike you can have 'em.
