I am getting a Pilot suit soon. All done up with my name and patches etc for $800.

Both look nice. From personal experience white looks nice on the rack but not so nice after being used. My boots turned yellow and my pretty white suit it all gray and black now. I stick with darker colors now like black and blues.

I've got a little while till I buy a new suit (getting a custom Spartan or Pilot is an option as well). STG's review on the Tech 1R is def. a reason to look at that suit.
I like to clean my gear all the time, so white is all good. Its worth it to look pretty , who cares about being fast.
The black 1R looks good too though.

The concept of having pretty bikes/gear for the track mystifies me. I'm still of the mindset that you don't want stuff that you'll feel bad to trash. That said, them suits is snazzy.

I'm going to pay the same amount of money for black leathers, why not get a set that I like the looks of? I'm going to crash either way, and rashed leathers are rashed leathers.
I've considered a used set, but its tough having to constantly monitor ebay or forums for the set that I want, in my size, and in decent condition. Its easier to get a new set, with that customer support in case of a flaw, and I know exactly what I am getting.

Me neither! I thought I'd reduce the mysterious cloud of why I would buy a primarily white one piece to race in.
I would look pretty hot too...and see, because I'm slow, you'd have more to time to be like "Wow, Freak looks damn fine in those snazzy leathers!"
Mmmmmhmmmmm!
Of course, by May, there will be more new stuff to drool over.
I really like what Tecknic has out for suits as well.
