Locating NOS (new old stock) parts for motorcycles?

Is there a source for new old stock parts for sportbikes? I’m looking for some Yamaha parts, late 90’s parts that are discontinued? I’ve tried the usual eBay, partszilla, revzilla for the OEM stuff, but it’s unavailable.

    Thanks

ya, there are plenty sitting on shelves collecting dust at old dealerships, Back when I was putting my XV920R together, I had to mostly source used parts, but I did get a brand new 9" headlamp not expecting to find one, I just went to the dealer to get the part #, so I could do a better internet search, before giving me the number, the guy behind the counter just walks away, and returns a couple minutes later with a dust covered headlamp that was sitting on the shelf, shit luck on my part

unfortunately, yamaha doesn't have a database of where parts were shipped to, to find likely sources collecting dust on a dealers shelf, that I know of

Switch your eBay location to the UK and search there. If you find something just ask the seller if they will ship to the US if you pay. I find most are agreeable to it. It's the only way I can get some parts. They tend to have loads of spares there as well.

As Randy suggested I would try Yamaha dealers. I work for Toyota and we still stock old shit in the warehouse. I've seen the hub caps for 70s era Land Cruisers, old metal gas caps, old Supra stuff from the 80s. All new parts just collecting dust. Not just one or two either, several of these things and others.

Fowler parts in the UK actually lists what I’m looking for as available, but their eBay store says no international shipping. I’ll try to reach out to them and ask
