    My trip to the Daytona 200

    Wish I woulda known you went, I was there as well! Great racing, too bad the seats just don't fill up like they used to.

    i grew up in orlando and went to daytona for many years. got see Scott Russell win a few.

    I wish i had known too. The seat's were empty.most of the people outside the track were just there to pose anyhow.It was my first time there.what a day!

    No kidding. Long and low has been the theme for the last few years (cruiser and "sport" alike). The midway sucks these days too. Just a few years ago you could find all kinds of vendors for sport and race equipment. But if you had a great time, that means it could only get better!! I go every year so keep me in mind for next spring. I've been talking about it for years, but next year I'll try to put together a Barber TD and D200 trip. If that isn't a dream vacation, I don't know what is.

    You're not kidding. Why is there so much more enthusiasm in Europe? You watch any of their races on televison and the grandstands are full! You only see that here with the dreadful NASCAR series.
