    supermoto track with dual sport

    I took a DR200se...had a friggen blast!

hilarious quote from another rider: "somebody's not going on the track with knobbies, are they?"

the 50/50 bridgestone trailwing (NOT the deathwing model from the DR650) tires had really good traction on pavement (passed 2 noobs with straight-up sumo bikes) and I just walked away from the experts in the dirt section, haha...the hot guy tried to pass me on the inside of the dirt section and just low sided on the slicks

track was adams motorsports park in SoCal, cost for the day was only $45

ya, if you guys can find one, I highly recommend it

something about a small track on a dirt bike is just so much fun

remember - half clutch pull (into the friction zone), downshift 2, then stay in the friction zone (letting go of the lever to slide more, pulling in to slide less)

but yeah Paul - I'm just happy to be out on 2 wheels!

    that's what I did!

was a great wonder why I kept getting passed and running wide on easy turns

moar pics from the dirt section:

bike on knobbies - upright, bike on slicks - on the ground

so when are you guys coming to visit???

socal supermoto runs a school where you get lesson, professional pics, AND their bike (DRZ400) included for $199!

bring your own bike (aka use mine) track day for only $45!

Re: supermoto track with dual sport

    oh man, I really suck!

I didn't follow any line, I didn't hit any apexes, I never did a late turn in, I braked too early, I wasn't looking through the turn, was too late on the gas...blah blah blah I suck. I guess I was too accustomed to TTD quality - go in with some instruction! but nope, for $45, just rung whatchya brung.

    still fun!!

I was looking at a DR200 for the wifey. Would you recommend it? It would be used for learning/street use mostly minor off road possible.
