I just got an e-mail from New Enough about closeout HJC CL-SP helmets. $99 bucks for three different styles. Good deal for a comfortable helmet (and a dot/snell rated one at that).

^ yeah, I figured some people wouldn't like that post.

But hey, a deal's a deal, and I'd rather post a deal and let people decide if they like it then not post it for fear of a scary internet argument

    Pete, anything more to this?

I'm interested in hearing more seeing how I went down hard wearing an HJC and lived to tell the story....still have the helmet.

So what's the deal? Polycarb no good?

    Re: Helmets on close out

for 10-20 bucks more, get the AC-12. Composite construction. No polycarb.

Bergs, search the forum for Polycarbonate... you'll find more reading than you'll know what to do with.
Cliff's notes says "Composite = betterer, Polycarb = worser"

Composite may be better but I'm betting a lid made out of "composte" would not be......
