Good Suzuki shop in or near RI?

Looking for a good reputable Suzuki shop for maintenance (V-Strom DL1000) in or around the RI area. More interested in quality than prices. I don't want to get ripped off but I am will to pay a little more for good work.

I am also open to any independents that do good work as well; doesn't have to be a shop I suppose.

My search have turned up very little. Thanks.

The people over at the Suzuki dealership in Swansea, MA seem like really good guys. I've picked up a lot of parts there, but never had any work done by them...so take that for what it's worth.

I am pretty sure Razee does not service Suzuki.

They service all brands, they just can't get/sell OEM parts for brands they don't carry

Re: Good Suzuki shop in or near RI?

I asked Pete about it a while ago and he said they service them, it's just an issue with OE parts so most people that own a brand they don't sell, end up going somewhere else.

I've never delt with Motorsports Nation service department, but the sales staff are great to work with and the showroom is clean and well set up. That "sometimes" is a good sign that the service department is average or a bit better than average.
I bought my last R6 there and left very happy

Couple techs at Razees own Suzi's. IIRC they do service them. Like others said just don't carry oem parts. Call Brian (service mgr) and ask him.

This was my original concern. Suzuki is not listed on their site, service area, and they seem to carry very few in their used inventory. I need to call and see where they stand because they are less than a mile from my home.

What are you looking to have done? V-Strom riders have had tech days in the area in the past. The most difficult maintenance item is probably a valve adjustment.

Check them out for sure. During the season they usually have a couple GSXR for sale. Not on their site as they only list the brands they sell new on the site. A couple friends who work there are coming over for dinner tonight so I will ask them, but by then you will probably have an answer.

I am looking at a bike with 12,500 miles and the valve adjustment/inspection is part of the 15k service. So I am looking to have the 15k service done.

If you check out some of the polls on Stromtrooper, those who have done it almost always find the valves are within spec. Many riders wait until 22 or 30 K.

Throttle body synch is more likely to be required.

Re: Good Suzuki shop in or near RI?

I used the Suzuki shop in Columbia CT for my 15,000 mile valve check (and adjust), did the rest myself. I had the initial service done there at 700 miles, and had them do fork work for me. I was happy on all accounts.
Coastline in Old Saybrook, which used to sell Suzukis, says they still service them in their ad, but I have never used them.
