    SV rizoma grips

Rizoma doesn't make grips and levers specifically to fit the SV but I want some bling this off season. Pete was talking about Aron using R6 grips on his SV for better throttle response.

So the question is, what should I get from Rizoma for grips and levers to fit a 05 SV1000S? Also is there a US online distributor for them or do I have to buy from here. http://www.rizoma.com/

This is the only US distributor of Rizoma that I know of.

    pjsparts.com

    Great customer service.

Not grips... Throttle tube. (the white thing under your grip) Some folks replace the Suzuki throttle tube with one off of an R1 because the diameter is slightly larger. It makes the stroke to WOT shorter. Basically going from 1/4 turn to 1/5 turn. It doesn't improve throttle "response".

Cal PJ's like Eric suggested. PJ or his wife will answer. And ask them what the suitable replacement is. I'm sure they can suggest the right thing.

i guess i dont understand why you would need grips to be SV specific. a grip is a grip is a grip. levers might take some research but i bet that similar year GSXR levers would be close (at least the brake IDK if GSXR clutch levers are cable)

The 04 R1 tube is plug and play and 1/5 turn, the NEW 06 R6 is 1/6 but it is not plug and play, you'll have to remove 8mm from the end of the puller throttle cable outer housing for clearence in the throttle tube housing, but the 06 R6 is the quickest turn @ 1/6. Either is an improvement.

    Re: SV rizoma grips

If you're looking at the Rizoma billet grips (which are grip + tube all-in-one)...I find that the throttle control isn't quite as precise(?) vs. a traditional rubber grip. Not horrible, but worth mentioning. They do look sweet.
