    SV seats

Who has an aftermarket seat on your SV and how does it feel? I'm thinking about switching cause the stocker just ain't cutting it comfort wise forme anymore.

    Re: SV seats

Obviously you know I don't have an SV, Alex. I wanted to let you know that both Corbin and Sargent saddles are very good in my opinion. Had a Corbin on my old FZ1 and loved it....now I have a Sargent on my new FZ1 and am learning to love it.

The Corbin was a bit more stiff than the Sargent but both are great once the padding settles in to your shape.

Cushy is not always more comfortable.
In fact (especially for those small but males) a softer foam
May tend to allow your boney but to hit the seat pan putting preasure on your nerves.

That would be no good, and I do in fact have no butt. I can't see any of the after markets being that soft.

    Re: SV seats

I have a Sargent on the SV but I haven't fully tested it yet, though the difference is very noticeable. I did 180 miles a couple of weeks ago and I had no butt pain. The only drawback is that I tend to sit closer to the tank, and the Sargent is a bit uncomfortable in that position. Sitting all the way back in it, though, is so much better than the stock seat. I would definitely recommend it. It also lowers your seat height a bit, but I didn't notice any additional knee cramping (I'm about 6' tall) though it is a concern for the trip I have planned. I want to look into either the lowering plates for the stock rearsets or something similar that will give me back the leg room that I lost, at least for the longer trips.

That's interesting to read. I found the exact same thing with the Sarg but wasn't sure if it was particular to the design used for my FZ. Guess the people at Sargent want you to be nestled right in.
