They are all set up lean for emission reasons...It likes to pop thru the throttle bodies, if you whack the throttle...

    Seating

    TLRMan,

How does you brother like the seating. I managed to sit on one the other day. Seems agressive (compaired to my Bandit) for a long ride. I would be curious if he has done at least 1 hour worth of semi-straight riding yet.

    Thanks.

For 2-strokers it definitely is... For 4-strokes I believe it just limits amount of gas that gets burned for the power stroke(and probably reduces power a little bit). Lubing is done by crankcase oil so I don't think it hurts the engine like it would on a 2-cycle.

Does fuel provide any lubing on a 4-cycle engine?

They do lot's of things to pass US emissions & sound regs.
My Duc was geared wayyy too tall for those reasons. First mod was to add a larger rear sproket.

TLR, that bike is sweet. Nice choice. L-twin?!?!

    Enjoy!

considering I haven't ridden it yet, just sitting on it, it is a better position than the TLR..I could be pretty comfy on it I think...
I just gotta wait till my brother gets tired of it I guess, before he will let me take it out for a wheel!

Suspension comes thru set too soft from the factory too, first thing on the agenda, is to tighten it up a bit.

you know greg, you're not all bad, no matter what T says about ya!.

i bet his SV doesn't make a bunch of weird sounds and run funny right now though.

and i bet that cost more than my falco... probably why it doesn't make those weird running sounds.

the only sounds that *thing* that used to be your SV makes these days is metal scraping as it gets dragged from one place to another. (against its will)
