    Sweet race/track R6...

I have a serious crush on this bike... 2006 R6 Raven edition, murdered out track plastics and has the good parts.. Its in SoCal so maybe when I get there I could save all my pennies...

The price seems solid for all the mods. Thoughts?
I think the only thing it would need would be aftermarket levers for my girly hands.

    The info:

I'm the first owner of this 2006 Raven R6. I purchased the Titanium Akrapovic Evo Full Race System the same day I bought the bike. I wasn't really even shopping, and unfortunately I took a seat on it. Wrote a check on the spot. Later that yea for a bike. But my friends at the dealership had just received it that morningr, a high-side at Cal Speedway in Fontana was my rationale to take it to 100% track bike. That crash dented the gas tank, scuffed the airbox cover, and left fork preload adjuster. I had the tank repaired by a professional body shop, and I've since used Kreem on the inside for an extra layer of assurance. In early 2008 I was taken out by an overly-aggressive rider in the "Riverside" sweeper at Buttonwillow. The jerk didn't even crash, himself. Thankfully there wasn't any lasting damage from that one, just the bodywork. The only other time it was on the ground was about four months ago, when I had rented a toy hauler to get out to Chuckwalla. I forgot to raise the kickstand before pushing it back onto my lift and the stand caught, and threw the bike away from me. That cracked the upper fairing (which I've painstakingly repaired) and left a small dent in the right side of the gas tank. However, all that said, I've never reported anything to insurance, and the title is clean, clear, and in-hand.

OK, depressing stories aside, the mods:
    Garage Endeavors proprietary ECU Flash
Power Commander III-USB with custom map for the Akro exhaust (not the map that came from Dynojet)
Attack Performance bodywork- which I will remove all "13" logos from
    Woodcraft clip-ons
Woodcraft (once) black stator cover with black aluminum slider
All Balls roller bearings for the headstock- repaired a common problem with '06 R6's of sloppy headstock bearings.
    Vortex keyless black gas cap
    Stomp Grips on the tank
    Graves Emission blockoff plates
Custom circuit for Exup valve servo-motor bypass
Gilles black adjustable rearsets setup for gp-shift
    Scott's/Ohlins triple-tree mount steering damper
Forks completely setup by Jodie at Lee's Cycles in San Diego, who has sworn me never to let anyone else service them.
    Elka Rear shock
-both just rebuilt within two months (three trackdays)
I just rebuilt the front master cylinder.
Black Superbike steel-braided front brake lines, superbike is two whole lines from a longer banjo bolt at the master cylinder, not one line that T's off to each caliper.
    All drilled and safety-wired already.
Currently running Dunlop NTEC slicks with a couple days left in them 125/75/17 front, 195/65/17 rear. Note the larger sizes; these are only available in the NTEC slicks and make this a VERY stable bike.
I have Shogun Frame Sliders, but they're not even on the bike anymore. I started to worry that they break the fiberglass more than protect the frame, but to each their own.
    Spare race-seat OPP Tail section
    remaining Opp underbelly

I've removed TONS of OEM crud, and it's all in a box:
    Radiator fans
    clutch switch
    Kickstand switch
    Turn signal housing from handlebars
OEM exhaust (in case you ever ride at Laguna Seca)
    Exup servo motor
    Emissions control equipment
    Mirrors and signals
    Remaining footrest and clipon.

I have been running Motul 300V full synthetic oil the entire time. This is some really good oil. I have dissolved gas analysis reports for the last few oil changes, and I think there are only like 6500 miles on the bike. Still runs like a dream. Half the time I've been riding the past two years, I've been filming/following n00b's with my instruction program. So most of those miles haven't even been a hard pace.

This thing is ready to put on the grid. I think this is a $5000 package, but there's some wiggle room in that. If you're looking to spend less, there are things that I can remove to get it lower. As I was saying, I have a buddy interested in my suspension, and I'll have no problem getting rid of that steering damper. I can part out further, if you'd like. Kind of depends on what you're after.

i would pass for $5k. looks like they went cheap with the parts that matters. more importantly, did the seller mention the required tank sliders?

what parts on there are cheap? the suspension cause its not the top dollar stuff?

Lauren I'd say get out there and get settled in before looking for another bike. there will be plenty of bikes out there if this one sells before you're ready.

rotary damper, shock, forks (internals?). plus i havent heard good things about shogun sliders & gilles rearsets. what's the thing about the ECU flash? is that common, or what does it do?

what i know about ECU flashing: makes it similar to the Kit ECU, changes the firmware so to speak, but usually, when you reflash the ECU, you dont need a power commander or fuel controller of any sort, so this puzzles me, or just that I dunno enough.

Gilles rearsets are great for adjustment, but suck for replacement parts if you ever go down also dunno about quickshift shift rod for these.

Problem with a reflash - it's likely just a canned map, not custom to the bike.

Jim, no parts will survive the thrashing of being pitched down the hill and through the fence, flipping end over end.

Edit: my bad, I forgot the vortex gas cap will survive nuclear holocaust.

Yeah but by using the word "proprietary" in there makes it seem so much more awesomer.

I'd put my money on it being a basic reflash for increased injector duration and nothing more.

Yeah...I'm really just procrastinating with my packing. Good news is, this bike isn't even listed and the dude is in no hurry to sell it.

You must not have gotten your replacement parts through Duncanmoto... I got a new peg in no time from Ted....

Scotts Dampers are the balls, I love mine. The sliders are off the bike, no big deal, and I adore my Gilles rearsets. They are top notch quality, and crash very well. Mine, as well as another pair I know help up great in crashes in the last couple months. Couldn't have asked for more.

As far as the ECU goes...there was some kind of bypass or relay customized by a crazy electrical/tech geek friend of the owner's to smooth out the power delivery since the '06's don't have much low end, throttle is supposedly pretty much "on" or "off" so this was done to correct the problem. Completely custom.
