    Tach install on SV650 ??s

I picked up this tach for my track bike and need to wire it up. All wiring on bike is stripped to the bare bones

The tach has 4 leads Red, Black, White, and Green. And a looped brown wire going back into the housing.

I've determined that the white wire goes to the illumination bulb.

Now I assume the black is ground.

    Red is switched power.

and the green goes to a coil? Which coil? does it matter? and do I use the neg or pos on the coil?

    Any input is appreciated.

Thanks! I googled and searched but nothing came up that I needed.

    This link was perfect!

I bookmarked it for when I go to install as now I'm homebound recouperating from surgery.

    Wirelessly posted (HTC EVO "DROID" : Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.2; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/FRF91) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Find the b/y wire. That's the stock tach wire that runs to the front ignition coil.

True. But for tuning the bike it helps me know what rpm range I'm in.

Riding dirt bikes for years has trained my ear when to shift.
