Well, finally took another few big steps to getting on the road today. Went and set myself up with insurance (liability, and bought $8000 worth of medical coverage), annual cost is $350. A-ok with me. Then headed off to the registry, got my plate, got my registration, and sending me my new MA vehicle title in a few weeks. THEN went over to the local powersports place and bought myself a Shoei TZ-R helmet in the variety of red Halex, and now my last big hurdle for now......
I have to actually ride the motorcycle 5 miles down the road to get it inspected. Nothing above 45mph zones for a mile or two, and one intersection, but I dunno. I'm debating on loading it and driving it there, or actually riding and just saving myself the hassle. Now keep in mind my experience is up to 4k in 1st gear in a self storage lot going straight up and down the rows.
I think I'll attempt it, theres a backway there that adds about a mile, but nothing gets above 35mph zones going that way, and theres alot less traffic. So for time being I have a big set of work boots, a pair of jeans, a heavy ass Gap leather jacket, and a shiny new helmet. Now I just need the balls to ride it.
