    Will, check your voice mail.....

    feel the love....

I posted this on the zrxoa as well.....

Great Day!!! 85 degrees out and really ugly people everywhere you look....:laff: Here's a quick run down of yesterdays events....

Keeping in mind this was the opening show of the tour.....

Black Sabbath was a little rough around the edges. Played some songs that they rairly play live(and it showed a little.....) and the sound man sucked but it was Sabbath so it ruled

Iron Maiden just flat out RIPPED!! Everything they played was off their first four albums. Other than Bruce Dickenson not getting the mic close enough to his mouth fairly often(and it being a hypercardiod mic. so it's polar pattern is about 3" max.) you missed the first few words of each line but everyone knew them anyway. Three guitar players makes them sound HUGE and Steve Harris is amazing on bass

Mudvayne was very good, Drummer had a pretty good night, bass was not in the mix at all. You could hear his stage level on a song he started without guitar but that was it. Too bad as he is one hell of a player :nonono:

    :pissed:

Shadows Fall I had never seen before. Had some impressive moments but were better on cd.

Black Label Society was very impressive. Zakk Wylde is an amazing guitar player. He is damn near Malmsteen level at times. Really. Although he kinda pissed his crew off the times he handed his guitar to the crowd and expected the crew to get it back :nonono: . Made for a good show though.

In Flames was a Swedish band that opened the night for the primary stage. Those guys are excellent and I will be buying one of there cd's very soon.

Second stage ended with Rob Zombie. He was good but all of the movie soundtrack stuff that starts most of his songs gets a little tedious......

    Killswitch Engage ripped.

As I Lay Dying was a big disappontment for me. I had heard many of there songs before and I thought they sucked live.:lame:

    Mastadon rocked hard.

There were 10 or so other bands on the second stage that all kinda blended together if ya know what I mean  as we got an early start so we'd be ok to drive home at midnight.

All in all was it worth $121.50( $243. for 2 tickets to my door, $80. ticket plus ALL OF THE TICKETMASTER ASS-RAPING FEES AND $30. FOR PREMIUM PARKING)?????

    ABSOLUTELY! REGARDS, SNAKE

I think what Nikon is getting at is that you posted this in the General Bike Related section of this forum, when it should actually be in the Off Topic section.

If you poke around the "General Bike Related" section, you'll notice that all of the subjects pertain in some way to bikes.

    know where shit goes bitch

I am just really jealous that you got to go and I didn't. I was unaware that Mastadon was playing. They, like ISIS, have a strong cult following and if you told me ahead of time I would have given you some of their stuff. If you liked them - check out ISIS - you'll find yourself slowing moving your head in a "headbanging" motion but much slower. If you catch them live it's fun to look around cause the ENTIRE audiance will be doing hte same thing and no one will be lookinganywhere but at the stage.

In Flames kicks ass. They have solid stuff all the way back to Colony (on it the song Ordinary Story is just plain tits). Clayman is my all time favorite song from them (appropriately enough).

If you like In Flames, check out Children of Bodem. Hatebreeder is my favorite album from them.

You going to Gigantour at the end of August? Megadeth, Dream Theater, Fear Factory, Dillenger Escape Plan, Nevermore, LOA, Anthrax (if you go to the Sept show). Should be KICKASS. Already got tickets.

I still wanna see three more bands though. Mushroomhead, Opeth and Nightwish. Probably not gunna happen this year.
