    Tank Repair Question

Any know if this can be pulled out and made to look close to perfect??? This is not my tank, but one I can buy for $200. I am working on buying a second set of plastics and the tank for a custon paint job on the RC but will be keep the origonals for a good resale later...

So far I have the 2 lower cowlings and might pick this tank up monday if I can fix it?

Would a dent puller work, or filling it in with bondage?

    Tank Repair Question

I guess I could always take a hammer and finish it off making the top flat, and put friction tape over it so I could stunt the bike!

Not sure, but I will be starting to design it soon, and will be looking for a good qualified professional to paint it for a decent price, Ehem.. (Mike, Coll Pro) ? I would like to talk with you about possible designs soon and costs. I want something sick!!

Oh And I found a better tank closer by and I will be picking it up Monday! That pic of the other tank was from E-Bay in & NY, I got confussed!

Here is a tank much easier to repair/paint!

    Tank Repair Question

sometimes you can use compressed air to pop the dent, if you weld, wash tank first , couple of times, with baking soda and water Bondo works good too

    re

    Mike,

I may be able to hook you up cheap. Mine starting leaking. Its common for 2000 and Honda is supposed to warranty it. If I can get it back I can give you a deal with no dent. Just needs a weld for the leak at the seam.

    Tank Repair Question

My tank is not leaking, I wanted a second one along with all the plastics, so I can get a custom paint job, and still keep all the origonals if I ever re-sell it... I can sell the Custom painted plastics seperate for more $$ ontop of the sale of the bike to someone that wants a custon paint job.. Thats if I even ever get rid of it! Ah, get it!
