Teknic 2002 Supervent Jacket or Phoenix Sport Jacket ?

I've got the Phoenix jacket and it works great during the real hot days of summer. Not sure how it would stand up to a get off but it sure beats having no protection at all. The prices that newenough have are great considering that they were priced anywhere from 129 to 139 anywhere else. Just my .02 worth.

Teknic 2002 Supervent Jacket or Phoenix Sport Jacket ?

i have anecdotal evidence that phoenix jackets are pretty much "single use." not sure how the teknic compares in durability.

even though the jackets were toast, they provided good protection, though.

    Jacket

I have the Phoenix as well. I bought it after some dude on svrider.com took a sliding spill, and only tore a small hole in the jacket. He had jeans on, and those were shreded, but the jacket held up nicely.

need4speed was right with regard to summertime. The airflow with the phoenix is remarkable...

    Have a good saturday night...

Go witj the one you like! If you don't like the look you'll find yourself debating on to wear it or not I know that I like my Joe rocket(summer) and prefer it to my nexgen(winter), and the other thing is you don't need it now then it doesn't really matter it's not instock

Teknic 2002 Supervent Jacket or Phoenix Sport Jacket ?

I have the supervent jacket and while it appears to be well made, I have yet to wear it. It clearly doesn't have the ventilation that the phoenix does due to its double layering, but it does seem very comfortable.

Is it really GP armor? The kind with hard plastic on top of the foam?

That's surprising considering the more expensive/protective Joe Rocket suits don't seem to have GP armor.

If it is maybe I will buy one just to take the armor and put it in my other jacket.
