tell me about the "Multistrada 620"

There's an '06 local to me on craigslist with low miles (4200) for $2400.

    never down, clean title.

It would be a second bike (I have the roadglide for all day touring riding), just for the twisty mountain roads. .. .

so what say the braintrust of NESR

    Sounds like a good price.

How was it maintained? Belts? Valves? If not and you can't so it yourself assume 400-800ish??? for it to be done properly.

Seems like an excellent price. Looks are a matter of taste, but supposedly a lot of fun and the engine is torque laden enough compared to the Inline 4's of similar capacity. Also, should be ok 2-up for short rides

Ya, I gotta disagree. I don't think its a real fast bike, but its fun to have to shift gears and twist the throttle!!

I didn't say fast - I meant has enough torque to ride around town. Sort of like a Versys. Depends what your expectations are.

The bike is a great street bike, very comfortable to ride, no super fast but have the ducati torque that is a ton of fun!...... Is a good price !

Re: tell me about the "Multistrada 620"

That seems like an impossibly low price?

An 06 DL650 would sell for $4-5,000 and it only cost $6,800 new. He's asking 1/2 that for a bike that was $8K new.

Be very wary of this. Something does not seem right with the price + mileage + year being offered in combination with one another.

It's an ugly bike, of course it should be cheap. Also, a dl650>ms620. There's been 620 monsters on Boston cl for close to the same money. Go give it a thorough look, I'd have a hard time getting past the goddamn racket coming from the clutch to even consider it.

I know the price is low, but the bike is local, so I'll take a look in person, it's not a "sight unseen" purchase

It has a slipper too. Might be > DL650 in the end.

It's a no brainer at that price.

Re: tell me about the "Multistrada 620"

My monster did not have that... I thought they were the same thing, cept in adv(ish) trim. As I said, my bad. Absolutely worthy of a close look, in either case.
