I love my DR "motard", but I'd love to ride something else for a few days. Anyone want to swap bikes and see how the other half lives? I'd prefer to swap for something with an upright seating position (clip ons aren't my thing).

I'm definitely up for a hyper trade. My only fear in riding a Hyper is that I'll want one when I'm done I am curious how the fuel range is on my typical commute.

Couple days? I really just want to get a feel for how different bikes handle my typical riding. I'm considering getting rid of the DR at some point for a better two up bike.

The GSX 750 engine has always intrigued me. The ergos aren't really up my alley, but I suppose they could be changed...

Yes you will want one, but the good news is 08's can be had for short money on craigslist now that the 2010's have come out...

fuel range aint great, conservative days about 80-90 miles fuel lights, but in just commuting i will fill up once a week if that...

ill let you know when its ready and we can do the trade, the only seat time i have on a true supermoto is the ape 5.5 for about an hour and i wasnt hugely impressed...

Well, the DR is far from a true supermoto, but I guess it's pretty close. The ape 5.5 is a pretty wicked machine. The DR will be a shitload slower, likely a lot less "sharp", a hellova lot more comfy, and it won't blow up

but when i say "true" supermoto, i mean less than 400lbs and hp/tq to match...
