    Texas Tornado Boot Camp

Someone on Born said a member here had done it, so...

Anyone done the 4 day Colin Edwards camp in Texas? I'll be out there in May, so I was looking into it. Probably won't have that cash to spend until after the wedding, but it looks like a good time.

Why is it that every riding camp discussion dissolves into relationship advice?

    Re: Texas Tornado Boot Camp

I did it in November, but I can't exactly speak to the four day experience as this was a private camp with a bunch of ex-national plate holder flat track boys. The experience was awesome! Once you are there, you will not spend ANY money. Everything is inclusive and if you ask for it, it might happen. We had a marshmallow fight in the rec room. You will ride WAY more than you can handle. Work out before hand and especially your legs as it is taxing on your body.

There are three tracks: the covered one which can be configured in different ways, an oval and a tt track. It will all be combined for superpole, which happens at the end of each day. They track your time over the 4 days and you will probably see a huge difference. On the last day, Jake Johnson followed me so you can get video of it too. A normal day will be breakfast, ride (drills and such), lunch, guns, ride, dinner and ride. The night time riding is really optional, but doing laps up the big covered track with the all the lights on is EFFING awesome! They also do fun things like weight bearing challenge (5 people on one little TTR125) or slow races. Really they are amenable so always ask!

2 thumbs up! It was such a great experience and I really think I picked up a bunch from it. The TTR 125 have a knobby front and a cut slick rear so it is ALL over the place. If you have any other questions, let me know!
