What is it with Thieves?

I relisted my CBR track bike on CL and I get another person asking if the title is for sale. My response: sure its for sale for $3600 (the price of the bike)

Anyone else selling a track machine getting these emails?

Could be legit... I've got a bike I wouldn't mind having a title for. Its probably thieves though

Well... If you offered to sell them the title for $500 if they met you somewhere. It just really bothers me to have someone like that so close and not be able to bust them. Maybe that's the LEO flowing through my veins... thanks dad.

While I agree, its just not worth the hassle. They have my name/email/phone# and should they be resourceful enough, I dont really need pissed off thieves knocking down my door. Now if this state would take the stick out of their ass and let me have a concealed carry licence, Id be less worried. You just never know who you are dealing with.

Plus, if they are dumb enough to be emailing random people to buy just a title for a stolen bike, they are bound to be caught pretty soon anyway.

if you want to be really paranoid, maybe it is the cops seeing if you want to do some shady dealings, it would be like catch a predator but with two entry teams going at it in a Mcd's parking lot.
