I raced a ktm 440exc smoker once for shits. Left side kicker. Nutso.

Yes, it looks like the damper itself can be taken off without removing the bars. Just take a look into whether each bike uses the same length arm.

Personally I'm all about the black and yellow.

Normally would never, ever, ever consider such a vain thing. Especially at their asking price. But this time.. yeah, I'd do that.

Re: Thinking about dual sport/ ADV bike

Just read that there is a "MCCruise" aftermarket cruise option for the T7. Supposedly pretty seamless install. Thin mini-control that looks clean and usable. $900.
Figure $1k on the high-side to tune the boingers. $900 for that cruise kit. $200 for my vain sticker kit. Still less than a new 790 ADV-R. <rubs hands>

    Anybody wanna buy a WR450F?

Chip, you need to take a few steps back and snap us some recent photos of that 790 of yours. Would rather see it in person, but, you know.

You might already know this, but there's a guy who races harescrambles on an IT. I think he runs vintage, but I know I've seen him a bunch at the non-vintage races. I suspect he's been racing it for nearly as long as I've been alive.

Thanks chip. Yea I ordered a new arm with the mount. I am hoping that my existing one will work, but it is a stepped arm so not sure. Worse comes to worse swapping the arms is fast, so just leave it on the 790 and swap to the husky when needed. Super fast.

I have gone a little crazy and went way overboard and basically bought all the farkles minus the bags.

I think the bag set up to go with is mosko scout bags. Super versatile and wayyy cheaper.

Ended up biting the bullet and getting a Zumo xt on sale. I have spent wayyyyy too much money but i am getting super excited to venture out and my understanding is the xt has nearby off-road from OSM. Hopefully it actually works

    One of the Hubbard brothers?
Or there’s another older dude who has 2 really nice ones he runs, and usually has his teenage daughter alongside.
He sometimes parks(ed)with Kim and JP, so if I swung into a scramble I’d say hi and have a chat.
    I haven’t raced a netra scramble in 5yrs anyways.

Pretty sure that's the one. Although I don't think she's a teenager anymore. She races too.

Re: Thinking about dual sport/ ADV bike

I’ve been out in Las Vegas for the last 2 weeks. I took my first day off yesterday and went to Valley of Fire state park. Now I want to relocate to the southwest and buy an adventure bike.

Yeah, I have been a member of that group for a while, did a dirt ride with them a few years back but never had an adv bike. Those lunatics took their big bikes on trails that I was on a 125 for. I mean the trails were fairly easy but pretty narrow

It's pretty awesome. I'm getting ready for the annual Death Valley ride in Feb and Baja Mexico in March.

Nah, small group with a few buddies. I'm not sure they're even doing a noobs ride in 21? I think it was cancelled in this year?
