thinking of riding on the street again...

Hey guys, I have a race back-up/parts bike in the garage, and instead of letting a clean titled frame go to waste... it's getting all thrown together for the street... it will have some rigged headlights, and an oem tail... don't think i'll be running it full fairings.

    Anyway, it's getting:

    Vortex Rearsets
    Vortex Clip-ons
    Vortex 520 conversion 15/48
Hindle AMA exhaust (may cause a little trouble)
    new swingarm
    new subframe
    new wheels/tires
    new tank cover
    new gauges
    minor bodywork on tank/tail
    ss lines (need to buy)
fabbed gauge/HL fixture (need to make)
(maybe) some vortex shorty levers (need to steal)

Here's a pic of the Castle Sprocket 185champ and I made last night ($8 socket at sears and an air grinder)... Last time i took a swingarm off, I turned the lock-ring on the swingarm with a hammer and screw-driver (sorry if your pivot bolt hardware has any marks in it kurtz!)... This time I did it more righter.

    As it lies:

I didn't, but when I seperate a frame and motor, I support the motor from the bottom, detach it, and lift the frame up off the motor.

This one got a swingarm, not a frame.

    On a diet....

    stock 22.2lbs:

    Hindle 6.8 lbs:

a 15lb loss alone should be equivalent to just about a 2 hp boost in the butt dyno, and I think the exhaust itself is good for 3-5 hp

Also got on the triple clamp, clip-ons, left engine cover, subframe, swingarm

Note: oil changes are super easy with no exhaust! :-P
