I have decided that anytime anyone says 'busa, I'm going to counter with ZX-14R, yo.

    So yeah, -14R.

Due to what is currently available and not wanting to be stuck without something when spring rolls around strongly leaning towards FZ6.

How did you find the transition?

    Re: Time for an Upgrade?

The transition was big. I was fairly new and after one year and 3000 miles upgraded. The brakes, power, handling and technology were night and day. Initially, the FZ6 felt a little tall for me (5'8" and 30" inseam), so I got a lowered seat from Germany of all places! Then, I got rid of the lowered seat. For pure highway riding, the GSX650F or even FZ6R would probably be better due to the full fairing and slightly tucked in position. But, the FZ6 is fine as well. A Puig screen that was only 2" taller made a huge difference on the highway and was still aesthetically pleasing to the eye. :-) I still miss my FZ6...

Biggest thing I hated about my naked Bandit 1200 was the highway ride. I'll never own a bike without a faring again.. not as a primary anyway.

If I end up going with the FZ6, I would invest in a full lower fairing at some point.

Bike looks nice, but personally not a fan of naked bikes.

May be the front end, but my experience is the rear is almost always over sprung as the factory had to anticipate people doing 2 up's right out of the box. At 260lbs OP will most likely need to have the front and the rear suspension reworked.
