    Question tiny nail

ok, i parked my bike yesterday and glanced down at my rear tire and saw a small nail slightly off center in my tire, it looks like it has been there for a little while and i don;t seem to be loosing air. I have a new tire showing up tomorrow and will hopefully get it mounted midweek. i will be riding a lot before then though, should i just leave it, plug it, or just not ride much?

If it went all the way through you would be loosing air. Pull it see if it leaks, if not ride, if it does get a cheap plug done till you swap for the new one.

If you'll only be putting a minimum of miles on it, and riding it gently 'til the new skin gets mounted, I've got a plug kit you can use to plug it...

i have a plug kit i can use i just wasn't sure if it would be worth it if it seems like no air is lost, i will be riding about 400 miles in the next few days and i always have the intent on riding gently.... but we all know how that goes.... i will pull the nail when i get to work and see if it leaks, if so i will just plug it. any conscerns with plugging a motorcycle tire? that is my major question is am i better off leaving it alone or plugging it, would hate to try to do the right thing (other than just parking it until i get a new tire) and make it worse.

The plug would be safer than a nail. I put 2000 miles on a plugged tire no problem. I would plug it.
