Tire Mounting Quotes: Greater Boston Motorsports

If you take a drive out to Framingham to Anderson Cycles talk to Scotty in parts and tell him Keith sent you and you'll get your tires mounted and balanced for 20 bucks for the pair. If they ask if you got the tires ont he internet say no you got em from a friend that had them kicking around. Is Scotty isn't there then ask for Chuck tell him I sent you. You may have to remind him "Keith with the VTR"

if you can do better... do it, but thats a SWEET price from GBM... most times they try to get an hour of labor outta folks per tire.... plus stems and balancing. (closer to $160-180 when they are done with ya)

did you get your bike from them? that might be why they are being nice to ya.

Tire Mounting Quotes: Greater Boston Motorsports

If you already got the wheels off GBM is going to get it done in like a half hour or less. They're pretty good.

Tire Mounting Quotes: Greater Boston Motorsports

Take it to the Triumph dealer, then Greg will like you.

They have the super-duper "London" brand stem lube. It's made from the same stuff as fish and chips so it will lower the stem friction and your bike will be wicked fast like a Triumph.

Just be careful not to ride it in the rain as it will dissolve in water and then the tires will go flat. (A triumph expert told me this at that rainy track day in September that suddenly turned into a Japanese-only trackday when the rain started.)

Tire Mounting Quotes: Greater Boston Motorsports

You guys must really like bending over a lot.
Get a couple of friends to chip in 25 bucks or so and buy some stuff from www.tireqwik.com and do 'em yourself Takes me about 1 to 1 1/2 hours from the time I shut the bike off to the time I ride off. Wheels off, mounted, balanced, reinstalled. Make your money back putting tires on for the local stunter groups at ten bucks a rim. Everyones happy and you don't get hiney reamed by a dealer for a job that takes them about 15 minutes per tire, max, to do.
    And Ben.....
    Cheers, Lee S.

Tire Mounting Quotes: Greater Boston Motorsports

Tire spoons are about 20 bucks, rim protectors are about 10 bucks, and you can make a bead breaker with the scrap 2x4's you have laying around. You can even make a balancer with some 2x4's. Go to your local tire shop and get some weights and your hooked up.

It's ghetto but it works and it cost about 30 bucks total.

Tire Mounting Quotes: Greater Boston Motorsports

Been mounting my own for two years now, even do the locals for $10 a wheel. The amount of money you save over the long haul is impressive. One of the better bike investments I've made.
