Plymouth NH MX ride report (with vids) + Forum feedback

First off... I'm posting this here because you cannot use HTML code, therefore embed video, in the Dirty Bastards forum. However you can in all the other ones... think someone can fix that please? Thx.

    On to the riding.

Went and ripped some MX with a coworker for a few hours yesterday. He had to blow some steam off and texted me at around 11pm Thursday night for a 8am meeting time. Game on!

Of course as soon as we meet up in Hooksett it starts raining.. oh well, I may not like racing my Hawk in the rain but moto is a different story. After another hour of driving we finally get to the spot, a private track up in Plymouth. Luckily the rain at this point had somewhat stopped, so we unloaded the bikes and got riding. The track flows in and out of the woods, and the open section (in the vids) has a fairly sandy makeup. So the rain actually didn't make things too bad (at first) and really helped pack the sand in.

Over the course of the next 1.5 hours it sprinkled on and off, never really raining all that bad, bad enough however to warrent no googles. They'd just get wet and you couldn't see. Following a 2005 CRF250 with no googles isn't all that fun btw. Eating roost isn't either At around 1pm the rain decided it was done messing around and absoluted POURED on us, instantly soaked to the bone and it flooded the entire track. Puddles instantly sprung up all over the place and you'd be slashing around into, over, and out of doubles and berms. Pretty damn awesome. It poured for about 10 minutes then backed off again so we decided to shoot some pics and vids. My buddy just emailed me over all my shots so I'll add a few of the good ones below.

Hitting one of the doubles on my 02 CR125.

Same double but now on my friend's 05 CRF250.. more on that later...

Cool below angle of double again riding my coworkers CRF250.

Lastly, small rythem section on my CR125. You can see some of the puddles and splashing around fun post-deluge.

I made the grave mistake of finally riding a 250F again. I got back on a dirtbike early this spring when I went to Crow Hill and rode Eric Wood's 250F. Since then I bought my own bike, the CR125. I KNEW that if I got back on a four-stroke I'd want one badly, so I've been avoiding riding other people's bikes like the plague. This past Tuesday I decided to throw a leg over a KX250 two stroke (more power than I expected) and then yesterday the 05 CRF250 four stroke. Even thou I've been having a ball on the 125 and relearning how to ride (stopped back in 95) the CR is lacking some power for what I'm doing. It's a great bike, well balanced, corners great, flickable in the air, but... I was able to get on my friend's 250F yesterday and jump farther, easier, and smoother, not to mention HAMMER out of corners. How the AMA let 250F's race against 125's I'll never know, there is no comparison on power. After hitting the double on the CRF I was determined to jump as far and smooth on my 125.. nope. I hit that bitch 10 times in a row WFO in 3rd and it just wasn't having it. 250F cruised over and past the landing and to add insult to injury I nailed another section (a stepdown into a double) perfect twice on the CRF. Just having that extra power on tap is stellar. Plus, to ride a 125 two stroke effectively (ie: fast) you have to have it WFO at all times. The back of the bike is constantly shooting around and trying to throw you off. The power delivery on a fourstroke is delivered in a easier way to utilize, as long as you can keep the front wheel on the ground (no easy feat).

CR125 is for sale in 2 months and 06 CRF250 is going to be on the way. Plus I can race supermoto on the 250F
