    Tires...

I'm gonna use the bike for a lot of commuting on 95 this year. Sucks but I gotta put price and wear at the top of my priority list. I know some of you guys slab it a bunch, what's out there that fits that bill.

    Re: Tires...

Michelin Pilot Roads have held up for 9k miles including some trackday time on my ST3, still have some life left in the rear, front is good to go for quite awhile.

No personal experience here, but I've read that they're pretty comparable to the Pilot Power 2ct's in performance... maybe a little shorter tire life.

I had good luck with Michelin Macadams before they went to HD only. I would get a set of Pilot roads if I was looking for more life with good grip

The Macadam is discontinued. As is the Commander.

The Pilot Activ and the Commander 2 replaced them.

    Re: Tires...

I have found most anything aimed at "sport touring" by a major tire company is good for that use, may come down to price.

Also pay attention to profile shape, I think that is bigger issue than "stickiness" for this type of riding.

Commuting means cold temps and water on occasion. Can't recommend this at all.

I'm pretty partial to PR2 on my big girl for commuting and general riding around. Fantastic in the rain.

    Re: Tires...

I hear a lot of got things about the conti road attacks and pilot road 2's new 3 looks good to.

I personally run Bt-016 i love the tires and how they feel but i usually kill them in about 7k miles. They are cheap, decent life and love the grip. Wicked easy tire to heat up in the cold to. I ran PP2's once and hated how they felt when cold.
