Top speed run on my bike.

So, my 08 gixxer750 has a few mods. Nothing crazy. It has 130hp and I'm running a speedo healer that I calibrated at 100mph as being an 11.8% correction. The speedo healer has a feature where I can press a button and see the top speed ever run on my bike (it displays on the dash). It has always read 167MPH after I did that speed at a trackday at VIR on the grand east course.

Skip to a few days ago. I'm showing someone how the top speed display works and up pops 184MPH!

1. How the fuck could this happen? My bike can't do 184MPH and my calibrator still says it is set for 11.8mph.

2. Dan Z and hondarider102 have each borrowed my bike in the past 2 months. Hmmmmmmm

Remember that session I borrowed your bike at NHMS? I think I hit about 180 on the straight....spinning in 6th....raw talent.

No, I'm not sure. Lol. Actually I'm sure it cannot with stock gearing and i have it geared for even less top end so no, it won't do 184....... Will it?

he actually followed me on a couple rides with your bike and i was hitting 185 and he was right behind me... i obv wasnt looking back at that speed to look to see where he was. But I know he was right behind me

speedo demons

on my SV650, I used to have a Sigma bicycle speedo, for a long time, the top speed was 128.6 (somewhere on 89) I took my bike into the dealer for service, when I got it back, the top speed read 148.x

the sensor was on the front wheel, one of the things they did was change the front tire, I figger they musta jostled the wheel just right to get the sensor to pickup a couple quick pulses

I've seen 200+ on some 600's w/ speedohealers so my guess would be a glitch, that or Corey switched the dash to KPH for a bit to mess with you.
