    ramps

    I am in Nashua ...

PM if you want my phone number.

They are 10 feet long and 12 inches wide.
Great for a truck if you don't mind them hanging over the tailgate.
They have the aluminum lip on them to keep them from slipping.

You should bring the bike to track day... and let someone bring it back down here with them.

    Just not me... won't fit.

Not sure if this helps but....

Go to Home Depot, in the garden dept. they sell aluminum ramp ends for about $25 - they are for 12" wide ramps.

Get some pressure treated 2" x 12" x 8', lob off about a foot or so. You then drill a couple of holes, put the bolts for the ends on, and you're good.

Total cost maybe $35 and you end up with 2 ramps. It is super easy to do and can be done with a hand saw, small drill and a 1/4" bit.

    OR

Go to Sears, they sell ramps in the garden section, and you can return them if you are not fully 'satisfied' with them.

Oh my.... Vicki, DO NOT go and buy stuff to deliver the bike to me in Spfld...I wouldn't want you to do that.

If it's too complicated for you to load it in and you don't find an easy, cost free solution, let me know as soon as possible and I'll rent a Uhaul truck or trailer, and go get it myself...

Could I borrow your ramps Tony? That is, if the Uhaul truck do not already have a ramp...but I think they do. I also have tie downs here at home.

This is a good idea also...can't remember exactly, but wasn't your driveway in a slight hill? Or I think your street was in a fairly sharp hill?

Could you stop by my house and make me a sandwich on your way up? Also, I've got some waste oil that needs to be taken to the recycling center, if you want to take that with you. Oh, and my lawn needs mowing. And can I borrow 20 bucks? Kthx.

Aww, huckleberry, don't be so hard on yourself. You're not even out of school yet, don't worry there's plenty more out there to be cynical about once you graduate. You'll catch up in no time

Did I say something wrong? I just don't want her to go thru too much hassle in order to bring the bike to me...I'd rather rent a trailer than have her go thru all the trouble.

    Isn't this an EX?

One person in the truck backs it out and two people hold the rear wheel, once just the front wheel is in the truck, set the back wheel down. Then grab the handle bars and let the front down!

The daviid method. Yeah, this works. But it's better if you have a shitty crashed bike with pieces missing. Less weight.

Man God just told me to call Home Depot and see how much they sell those ramps...or Sears....we can either pay them back to you and keep them, or like someone else said, you return them to Sears after the trip to get reimbursed and tell them it didn't work out for you...LOL

Edit: Nevermind, I just spoke with Vicki on the phone!

I guess you don't want to borrow them.

I got the ones with the aluminum lip you get from the orange box.

Long enough for level driveways and great for driveways on hills.
