New track bodywork arrived today...

... and i put it on today to see how the fit is. Bought it used, it's made by Tromex which used to be a budget yet high quality alternative- though apparently now they raised their prices. Fit is perfect (should be since it came off a 05 R6).

Apparently there's a "curse" for all 05 Ravens, since so many get scratched or crash- so when this came up I decided to go for it and consider it insurance for the OEM stuff at track days.

The guy painted it white- it's nothing fancy at all, has some small stress marks here and there, but overall I think it looks great. Kinda diggin the white/black/gold.

yeah i was going to put some decals on, but I held off for now. Wanna give it some track time first. I'm thinking about putting a black yamaha decal along the bottom- the OEM kind.

I went yesterday but the rain sent us home before we could get on the track. I'll be away through August so I'll be going to as many September/October events that I can.

i apologize... my budget is too busy with bike stuff and track days to afford a camera, lol.

they cancelled?

the track official/manager closed the track around 12pm because the tunnel flooded and there were huge puddles on the track. Before that there were a couple people on the track with rain tires, and the McAllister instructors did some classroom stuff. The rain just never stopped... Classroom stuff was good though- great analysis of the track and body position for someone like me that is new to the track. Just wish I could've gotten on the bike and applied it right away.

The white almost looks to me like it's unfinished because the tank is black... thought about painting the tank?

Some decals would probably fix that though if you want to keep the tank black for street reasons.

yeah the guy who sold me these ran them just primer color for a while and then he painted them white not too long ago. It definitely looks better than just primer.

I think decals would help a lot but I'm holding off for now. I couldn't decide really where to put some of the ones I have- so I decided to wait and plan it out better.
