Oh, and fill your gas tank at the station just outside the track entrance. For those trailering to the track, it's a good idea to supplement a full tank with a few more gallons in a gas can.

I'm out for actully *doing* a day on the track this week ($$$). I'm saving money for some *good* riding gear. However, I'd totally be down for going up and hanging out for the day. I was gonna go up last weekend on Sunday, but the forcast was looking ify so I bailed. If and Boston area people wanna rent a u-haul for bikes I'd ne happy to help drive....or two-wheel it up there with Pete or whoever.

for gas, i usually fill up my tank @ the gas station. then fill up a 5 gallon can on the side. i usually use half the 5 gallon can

yeah definitely pack a chair. They do provide water/gatorade, but good to have your own too just in case I suppose.

And yeah there's definitely a bathroom.

naaahhh. dont worry bout a chair, there's plenty of floorspace to collapse on & plenty of Gatoraid to keep you hydrated... don't worry bout a chair & water bottle unless you're driving up & are looking for more stuff you can throw in your vehicle.

someone had to say it... kinda funny daivd beat me to the party idea in room 102.
tony... myself and bulldogr6 will be up around 2 or 3 i am guessing, if you need any help with anything.

as for what to bring...

take a look at tonys site and look at the list of track day items... such as ear plugs and such.

dont be too concerned with tools, there are more than enough tools in the pit that most people dont mind leeting others borrow...or even help in the event a repair or service is needed.

The water bottle & towel is for cooling off. The chair is to kick back in. If it's hawt, you'll want to cool down as much as you can in between sessions. There are no chairs in the garages -- you'll want to be in the shade.

There's a bathroom w/showers, and a trough.

Chris, if good gear is an impetus to track riding you might want to call Paul at MotoMart, he has brand new MotoGP suits that he is renting. My buddy showed up with his helmet, boots & gloves, and for $60 had a great suit for the day. Also I believe that if you rent the suit and you end up buying it, they take the rental amount and credit it towards the price of the suit.
