    Track day prep.

So, next Monday is my very first (and only one this year) track adventure. What am I forgetting to do as far as preping the bike goes.
    Remove mirrors, blinkers.
Tape head/tail lights. Also remove fuses. (Thanks Ben!)
    Water Wetter.
    Tighten everything.
    Bring gas.
    hmmm... what else??

Just to add to what JC said...

Make sure you bring the right clothes, bring your raingear, last year it was nice all day and then nasty for the ride home when I went.

And bring lots of water, preferably something like gatorade as well, and some sport suntan lotion or something, and plenty of food. The sun seems to get to you at the track even if you're not riding. (But you know that already)

Let's all try to pit together (all the NESR guys) so when you get there make sure there is space around you for the rest of the NESR types.

...and Chris, you do not need water wetter for the SRNE trackday.

We'll be in the garage right? So no tent for us.
I'll be staying over Sunday night. Probably camping at the track. Do they charge for that?

    One more item

You might wish to have a keepsake or two from this momentous event, so may I suggest bringing along a few extra $$. I hear there's going to be some pompous ass up there who fancies hisself to be a "pretty decent photographer" of bikes on the track.

Who knows, you might wanna buy a photo or 2 of yourself on your bike while it's actually moving along prety good.

    Just a suggestion, not required.

Sorta like anti-freeze. But easier to clean up if spilled.

Aren't you supposed to run water with no glycol (antifreeze) in it?
Water wetter is not the same thing is it? I can understand why they don't want antifreeze there- if it gets on the track it's SLIPPERY and it doesn't evaporate like spilled fuel does. I remember meeting some in the old turn 10 at Bryar (4 wheels)
and got a close look at the wall (no impact though). On a bike I'da been BUMMIN in that situation.

...and THAT'S why they insist on water wetter!
