    track suspension for little Ninja?

I think it'd be fun to build a really nice street/track Ninja 300, and am having trouble coaxing the internet into explaining how people track prep them aside from taping up the lights and removing the plate. In particular, I'd be interested to hear what people do to the suspension. Anyone have experience trying to make a little Ninja carve like the dickens?

Do we know for sure if the ninja 300 is production only? I'd like to do the same (street/track) thing but I'd rather not have to pull off air filter, pc3, and exhaust every race weekend. Hmm. . .

As of the time of that proposal, the EX300 will be held to Production Class rules. Your PC3 is legal, the air filter is OK as long as it's in the stock complete Airbox and retains any snorkels/etc, as well as retains the OEM opening(s) dimensions if any. The exhaust will have to get swapped back to OEM though. There will be a rules meeting this Saturday evening at the track to discuss the new class.

Re: track suspension for little Ninja?

The 390 wasn't mentioned. The proposed rules initially list valid potential displacements up to 390cc so should it actually be announced as coming to the US it will likely be approved under production class rules if the HP/Weight doesn't radically differ from the EX300. It also depends on how many bikes and of what type actually show up, if it's all stock/SS CBRs and Ninja 250s, I don't think they'll OK something that disruptive. If nothing shows, it's open season to try and draw in more entries.

what you got against wet noodles? Just cause it's a little floppy doesn't mean it can't be fun.

I was thinking if you just locked the suspension it might be faster. Kinda like a pocketbike...

clearly youve tried riding one.... lol for me it wasnt the suspension.. at 220 the suspension was ALWAYS locked out.. it was the sheer lack of ANY speed or power...

which is why this class is PERFECT for Mr.Kurtz...

I rode one at the last TTD. It was in top gear everywhere. It was also not very happy with me on it.

More because top speed is 87mph. This thing didn't even go fast enough to fictionally time travel.
