I know a guy who wrecked his street bike at VIR and did this exact thing just to save on the bullshit. Worked out great from what I hear.

Let me guess. Seven feet tall he was, with arms like tree trunks. His eyes were like steel: cold, hard. Had a shock of hair, red, like the fires of Hell.

Curious what others have found in this case?
I told em I was riding my mountain bike. :D

You also have to realize that you are in NH which is much different than MA.
as far as insurance regulations. He is entitled to coverage and he just needs to get to the right person.
I would call the attorney General's office with a copy of that paragraph talking about non timed event yada yada yada and open an investigation. One call from the AG and they'll play ball.
Not to mention I would start a blog alerting fellow riders to the poor treatment given by that insurance company.
What insurance company is it again?

I wonder what would happen if you just said
single vehicle accident off the road in Louden, NH

Then they ask for an address (or intersection) :)

Re: If you have been down at a trackday, and covered by Mass. insurance...
as others had pointed out before, try to get a letter from your trackday organizers saying it was not a timed event or a practice session for one, instead it was a rider coaching/learning session aimed at improving riding skills for better control on the regular streets and such, that may have the most impact along with your agents word that you werent in a race/timed event.
Insurance will try to deny the claim any which way they can. Recently my bike was involved in an attempted theft/vandalism. The claim was for theft/vandalism and not collision. My estimator at a local shop here in everett (total douchebag btw) got to see a couple pics of me at a trackday. He told the insurance adjuster/company that the bike was involved in "racing activities". Eventhough the claim was just for theft/vandalism, the company initially denied the claim saying it was a race bike. After my agent talked with them saying it was a riding school, they approved the claim finally.
Good luck.

Re: If you have been down at a trackday, and covered by Mass. insurance...
At the end of the day, whatever is printed on you policy is the one that count. Most policies are very specific and they don't really care if it is a school or a picnic. If you touch the hot pit you are on your own, (however there are exceptions such as if the vehicle is used in a parade on the track depends on insurance companies).
One more suggestion, if anyone committed insurance fraud. Don't tell anyone, don't say anything on an open forum, don't tell your friends, don't tell your wife, don't tell your dog. In this faceboook day and age it is so easy to trace it to the person, whoever that knows the truth might have to one day obligated to tell it to a judge.

Massachusetts has one policy that all insurance companies must follow?

And I know you wouldn't ever expect your health insurance to pay for any care that you needed due to your own actions, because you take responsibility for your own actions.
So like the OP said no Bullshit needed just help
Does this qualify as name calling and/or personal attack? I wanna push that little button......
Oh, and for the record...I know you were addressing someone else but I have been in accidents and paid the damages myself and not called the insurance. Oh and the pipes broke in my house (my fault) and damaged the entry and I did not call the insurance company either....before you judge or say to know something...you might want to open your mind.

One stating the auto policy they are using to deny me, and the second stating the letters I have in my defense don't mean shit to them.
Basically:
We will not pay if an accident occurs while an
auto covered under this Part is being operated in any prearranged of organized

preparation for any such contest or activity.
This is all I am asking. I dont need a bunch of bullshit about why I shouldn't be covered. I will however accept reasons I should be covered:pray:
If you have had an accident at a track day and successfully went through insurance, what company did you have, and how smoothly did it go. What did they require from you, if anything? How long did it take? If they all use the same auto policy I don't see how some can be covered and others not...
Just take it as a learning experience and in the future get it writing .

Just curious,
How bad is the damage? What kind of bike?

Despite our different opinion on insurance coverage at the track, I sincerely wish you good luck with getting your insurance to pay to fix this.
Now, I'm off to figure out how to get Honda's warranty department to pay for my blown RS125 motor...

Any frame damage usually tends to total the bike, maybe thats why the insurance company is playing hardball with ya. Did any letters from the trackday/riding school organizers help at all?

Not to be a dick about it....but I'd say hit up ebay and fix it yourself. I bet that you can get it fixed up for under what you'd pay for your deductible. Stock plastics and clips-ons are easy finds. Think about the time you've spent arguing with them about this....and in that time you could have fixed it up and been back on the road. Plus, in the end you'll have a bike without any claims on it.
Just my two cents....

For the 2.56X10 to the power of infinity I am not looking for advice on what i should or shouldnt do with the bike. My deductable is 500 bucks. The plastics on one side of my bike are double that if i want stock. The bike is technically totalled which means I owe nothing, not even the deductable.
So besides not knowing what you are talking about you have contributed no information to my initial question. One person has answered my question. I mean for f**ks sake i know this is nesr but no one can give me a "my buddy, blankity blank insurance company, no problems 100% covered, possible contact info" in addition to their bullshit?
If i was the insurance company and i told you that you were covered and you had an accident, you would expect coverage correct? Well i do too.
