Anyone see the crash of Michael Dunlop? I only saw the on-board footage, but going through it frame by frame it looked like multiple bikes were involved. I'm impressed he was able to come back & race.

EDIT: Ah, yeah... Scott Wilson was the other rider.

It is understood he collided with rider Scott Wilson’s bike after the backmarker fell at the Nook.

The race was red-flagged as a result of the incident.

One of Dunlop’s sponsors tweeted to say he was fine and had not suffered any broken bones.

Wilson is understood to have suffered a shoulder injury.

Anyways.
This year's TT was nothing but insane.
Lots of race records, top speed records, the Kawasaki H2 did its first lap there, lots of first time winners and podiums, some big names had unfortunate moments, lots of comebacks.

It was a great one to follow.

Also the stupid incidents with people getting on the course while it was Hot. People arrested and banned from the isle. The unfortunate death of a rider and a helicopter pilot.

I am not worried about that. They made good examples out of the idiots. Banned and charged.

Supposedly the guy banned dropped a can of beer accidentally and it rolled on the track, he went to get it out of the way before riders came through and it caused an issue. This was verified by people who were in the area.
Dumb decision, but he wasn't an asshat just trying to be part of the show.

a bunch of friends have rented a house for the manx TT this year. one of them who went before to the manx flagged a corner, he said its like standing on the sidewalk of a small town, having a bike come by you over 100mph, and being close enough to high 5 them.

well he didn't that was just his perspective. but he did say a cat went on the course and he almost stepped over to move it, til a more experience marshal reminded him not to.

Actually I could see that being a scene in another Fast and Furious. Vin Diesel standing at the IOM TT grabs a riders arm as the racer goes by. Of course he would be ok, but the rider's arm would come right out of his leathers, then Diesel takes the fallen bike and chases down Guy Martin's bike which has a bomb that will go off if Guy drops below 100 mph.

I was in an airport and saw a selfie stick like thing connected to a stroller and an ipad hanging from it so the kid could watch the ipad.

Is a selfie stick ok at a track day so long as it is physically mounted or tethered to the rider, I think we could be on to something here. Please allow extra room passing so that you don't cross selfie sticks.
