Trailer recommendations, brands to stay away from

I'll be looking for a 6 x 10 trailer soon and wanted some recommendations on brands and which brands to stay away from.

I'm looking for a trailer with side access and not sure whether it will be with a ramped or dual-door rear closure.

Suggestions?

Thule and Mission are both pretty high-end, but you're going to pay a premium. I have a Royal Cargo that has been just fine, only downside is that it's a steel frame so it's pretty heavy.

The Towed Inn is a Wells Cargo. It's well built and pulls effortlessly.

I had a kristi trailer that was pretty good. towed easily and had a lot of standard stuff that others charged you for. I ended up with the ramp door version and rhino lined the whole floor and frame. Im not sure i liked the ramps though. They took up alot of room when down. I liked my friends who could close up one side door and used the other side for an a/c unit.

A far, I like the Mission trailers. I'd probably be looking for a few options to be done to it, like insulation and electrical.

I don't have an area where I could do that, since I'm not allowed to store it where I live.

Chuck, talk to Loudog, he just bought a brand new 6x10 V nose from a dealer in upstate NY, I dont remember the excat price but it was cheap!
He is in Uxbridge so it is easy for you to check out.

Thanks Neil. He said his brother is applying to be a dealer of the type of trailer that he bought. I'll also probably be looking for whoever I buy it from to do all the custom stuff to it as well (stabilizers, insulation, electrical)

So, as my Facebook posting mentions, I put a deposit on a trailer this past weekend at Connecticut Trailers in Bolton. (sorry Joe) It's a Featherlite 9401, which is a fairly unique horse/utility trailer. It can be set up as a straight load or slant load for carrying 1 or 2 horses. (We'll only be carrying one and will be using the slant option, as this gives the horse more room and distributes the weight across both sides of the trailer.)

We got a really good price on it, starting $2k under MSRP. (MSRP is $11,800) We added a couple of manufacturer-installed options (6 D-rings for tying down motorcycles, a garment rack, and wall hooks) and some dealer-installed options (inner-wall protectors, inner wall padding [good to protect the horse from rubbing the walls while traveling, and all of the hitch/brake requirements). Total ended up $1k under MSRP with everything and we'll also be getting a $600 rebate from Featherlite, because they have one going of you take delivery before 3/31.

Annalisa is ecstatic, because she has never owner a horse trailer and this allows freedom for her to take her horse wherever she wants without paying a trucking fee. (Will save hundreds during the showing season.)
