Q on Trailer Sizes

I've been looking at trailers and have settled around a 6x12. I'd like to know if I could realistically pack 4 sportbikes in a pinch, or if 3 is the realistic max. I'm figuring about 7.5' overall length per bike, so I would need 2 rows of 2, staggered and overlapped a bit. I'm guessing tie down locations will be the trickiest. Anyone got suggestions?

It will probably be a flatbed trailer, not enclosed.

i have a 6x12 enclosed and 3 sportbikes would be difficult to fit ... you'd have to fit the 3rd in sideways ... 4 is not going to happen IMO

with a 6x12 i dont see any problems with putting 4 bikes on there. i can fit 3 4 wheelers side by side on a 6x12. just put the bikes sideways facing the side of the road instead of the front of your trailer.

well i guess it would depend if its an open trailer or an enclosed. either way tight squeeze but it could be done. if your really trying to get 4 on why not just go with a 6x14? or maybe a 7x14 for a little extra wiggle room?

i can fit 2 on a 4x8, stagger them and it should work

I'm running a flatbed 6 x 12 and don't think you'd have a problem with 4. Again though, packing 'em in side-by-side. Tie-down points shouldn't be a problem with a flatbed. I've got eye-bolts running all along the sides of mine, 1 foot apart and a coupla more running across at the head & tail...

I've got a 6x12 and I think I could pack 4 bikes on there if I needed too.

They'd have to be staggered and it wouldn't leave much room, but it should work.

Once you get the bike on the trailer... it wouldn't take much to lift up the rear end of a bike and swing it sideways. Seriously.

Otherwise... get a ramp that has a side gate too.
