    Trailer Storage in Winter

My enclosed trailer will stay out for the winter....is it a bad/good idea to throw a giant tarp over it or anything?

Anything I should do to it before real winter comes to protect it etc?

    Feedback welcome...

No reason to tarp it. Jack it up so the tires have no weight on them, wax it and Keep the snow cleared off it, you'll be fine.

Also, air up the tires, and spray a rust inhibitor all over any metal bits that might get nasty from sitting (PB Blast, something like that).

Give a healthy shot of grease to the hubs too.

Mine stays out behind my garage... leave the gas ranks full and my race can in there, I think the fumes keep the critters out.

I second the spray stuff all over it (I use WD40.) and the air up and get tires off the ground.

Take out anything that you wouldn't keep in your unheated attic (leathers, helmets, etc)

It is a GREAT extra storage place for me so I have room in the garage to work on bikes and keep my snowblower.

If I was going to jack it up off the ground what is the best/easiest thing to use?

    Where should I stick em?

jack it up with a car jack and set it up jack stands. Be sure to put plywood or a 2x6 under the stands so they dont sink in the pavement.

I have some actual trailer leveling jacks that would support them if you want to borrow them for the winter.
